My AIM journey started at the age of thirteen as a student in its inaugural year in 2010. As a student at AIM I developed a passion and love for dance that wouldn’t waiver. Miss. Siobhan, Miss. Andrea, and Miss Athena were my teachers that nurtured me along to way. As the studio grew and had its firsts I was always there to witness it all. During my time as a student I student taught and assisted behind the desk whenever I could. I looked forward to being at the studio every day and one day I realized I wanted to continue my training beyond high school.

I went on to major in dance at Manhattanville College in Westchester, NY. During my four years there I took every opportunity to perform and learn. In my sophomore year, I discovered a love for filming and editing dance films. This skill became very beneficial to me during these times! I loved my college experience and wouldn’t trade it for the world.  Throughout my time at college I always found time on breaks to come back to AIM to take class, help out behind the desk, and sub classes when they needed me to. I never quite left AIM even when I was away.

During my senior year Miss. Siobhan reached out to tell me about possibly expanding AIM with opening a new location. She offered me a teaching position at this new location upon me graduating! I was so excited to see that AIM was once again growing and for me to once again be a part of its next step forward. This past year, although very different then I could have imagined, has been the best. My once teachers are now my coworkers! I love all of my students and have learned so much from them this year. I cannot wait to continue doing what I love still being a part of the AIM Family.
